Telecommunications · Solutions playbook

The money is in legacy OSS/BSS integration — and no cloud agent can even reach it.

For Group CIO / BSS-OSS Program Director · Head of Network IT / Chief Architect · Head of RAN Engineering · Head of Network Automation

Chapter one

The problems you already budget for.

P1

Legacy OSS/BSS estates block monetization

The TM Forum (800+ member organizations) built its entire Open Digital Architecture and Open APIs — downloaded over a million times — because simplifying and modernizing business operations is the industry's core program.

P2

Integration risk across multi-vendor stacks

TM Forum publishes reusable blueprints explicitly to 'reduce integration risk' — named as the thing to reduce. Every BSS workflow change touches billing mediation, provisioning, and product catalogs from different vendors.

P3

O-RAN multi-vendor complexity

O-RAN Alliance: 28 MNOs committed, 221 member companies — and commercial deployment still requires repeated Global PlugFests and OTIC certification. Integration maturity is still being industrialized; specs move through ETSI/ATIS and Linux Foundation governance.

P4

The autonomous-network trust gap

TM Forum's Level 4 autonomy mission comes with a dedicated Trustworthy AI program and 'trust engineering for autonomous operations' — trust of AI in network operations is an unsolved industry problem, not a feature checkbox.

P5

Outage cost and configuration risk

Uptime Institute's outage analyses repeatedly report a majority of major outages costing over $100k, with configuration and software as leading causes — network-affecting changes demand verification, not vibes.

Chapter two

Why the tools you've already tried fail here.

  • They cannot reach the estate: cloud IDE agents have no adapters into billing mediation, provisioning, or RIC components — they optimize greenfield repos while the money is in legacy integration.
  • Vendor-cloud control planes are NIS2/DORA-style supply-chain exposure for network-critical system changes — the residency problem again.
  • No assurance semantics: autonomous-network goals require trust engineering; autocomplete and open-ended agents provide no formal verification gate before changes hit network-affecting systems.
  • AI Act high-risk classification of performance-monitoring and task-allocation AI means opaque SaaS logging fails deployer obligations (record-keeping, human oversight).

Chapter three

The Mindaeon answer.

Every answer below is a shipped capability, not a roadmap item — each named mechanism exists in the platform today.

The estate is multi-vendor and spec-driven

The integration hub reaches the real stack — Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, ServiceNow, SQL databases, Kubernetes — self-managed editions first. Agents work against the spec and the estate together, with conformance gates as pipeline steps.

Integration hub · 25 connectors · conformance gates

Network-affecting changes need proof

Every change passes verification gates — regression harnesses, mutation checks, policy evaluation — before promotion. The assurance case is generated, not asserted: evidence artifacts an auditor can follow, per change.

Verification gates · evidence artifacts · policy-as-code

Sovereign deployment for network-critical work

On-prem or in-region, models included — the AI Act provider/deployer roles and the NIS2 supply-chain posture stay clean. No vendor control plane in the path of a network change.

Sovereign deployment · any model incl. local · no vendor control plane

Autonomous operations need trust engineering

Agent actions are classed, approved, metered, and chained — an autonomous-network workflow on Mindaeon produces the trust evidence TM Forum's program asks for: what ran, what it touched, who approved, with what gates.

Classed actions · identity-bound approvals · hash-chained audit

Chapter four · worked scenario

A TM Forum Open API change into a live BSS workflow

A BSS program must extend a TMF Open API endpoint across a multi-vendor billing and provisioning chain. Integration risk is the program's named enemy; the release train leaves in three weeks.

  1. 01

    The chain becomes one context

Jira epics, the TMF API specs in Confluence, the billing mediation code, the provisioning integration tests in Jenkins, and the ServiceNow change record are connected and synced. The black-spot scan flags the one unconnected vendor repository — with the connector to close it.

  2. 02

Agents work the spec and the code together

Coordinated agents extend the API and its contract tests across the chain; cross-repo contract validation catches every breaking consumer edge before review. Each agent runs under its own identity, budget, and policy scope.

  3. 03

    Conformance gates, then human approval

TMF conformance and regression suites run as pipeline steps; mutation checks prove the tests can fail. The integration lead approves the promotion — identity-bound, one tap from a phone.

  4. 04

The assurance case exists before promotion

Gates, approvals, and deploy are hash-chained and exportable — the assurance evidence for the release train, generated by shipping rather than assembled afterwards.

The outcome. BSS change cycles shorten without raising integration risk; the autonomous-network program gets its trust evidence; and no vendor cloud ever sits in the path of a network change.

Chapter five

The regimes this maps to.

Mindaeon's audit records, verification gates, and deployment model are designed against these frameworks — evidence, not assertions.

  • EU AI Act (critical-infrastructure and employment AI tiers)
  • NIS2 (24h early warning / 72h notification, management liability)
  • BEREC / EU telecom code
  • TM Forum ODA / Open APIs · GSMA AI governance
  • O-RAN Alliance · 3GPP Release 18

Chapter six

What we can show you.

  • Change delivered into a real BSS workflow estate, not a toy repo.
  • Conformance-driven verification gates (TMF Open API / O-RAN spec-aware) before promotion.
  • Hash-chained audit aligned to NIS2 incident and audit needs.
  • Sovereign deployment with model choice including local — in-region or on-prem.

Bring the scenario. We will run the governed path on your estate — and hand you the audit record.
